A Round the World Adventure

It is in some ways fun and freeing to go through your life and reduce your things to one backpack… 

Our first set of flights for our round the world adventure are booked, and we are in full planning mode for our trip. We have a lovely set of rolling luggage, but realized that between cobblestone streets, third world countries, and lots of flights of stairs, we wanted something easy to roll AND carry…so backpack time! And the whole new experience of shopping at an REI Outdoor Store. 

Rachel: Do you have any cute outdoorsy shoes?

Clerk: Well, we have all of these shoes…

Rachel: But, do you have any cute ones?

Clerk: Um…no. But these look just as ugly when they’re dirty as they do right now! They don’t get any uglier, at least.

(We didn’t buy any of those shoes.)
