  • Do you remember that moment in Enchanted (the movie) where Amy Adams beckons to the animals to help her clean the house, and it’s absolutely enchanting, until you see the cockroaches, and a moment of realism sets in?

It’s no less charming, the scene, but you realize in real life there are real moments that aren’t quite as sweet as bunny rabbits and twitching squirrels.

Prague is a little bit like that. We love it - the city is breathtakingly elegant, astoundingly impressive, and there are castles and guards and palaces and cobblestone streets abounding.

But…to be honest…the people are somewhat guarded (and looking at their history, if I was from Czech Republic, I would be too). Rachel said hello to about 74 people yesterday with literally no response. Not even a head nod.

We did meet some sweet girls from Italy and a missionary from Prague who gave us directions to the church we are planning to visit this afternoon - the local Calvary Chapel closed this month, so we are visiting Faith Community Church, an independent Christian church that meets in a train station.

Thanks to all for the recommendations in Prague. Today, we are also going to the Jewish Quarter, and tomorrow we will visit Terezin Concentration Camp.
