Brussels and More
Turns out WiFi (the free kind) is almost impossible to find in Europe - so we do have lots of pictures but can’t manage to post them right now.
We are in a cafe in Brussels, Belgium soaking up the French accents, the gentle kindness of people here, and predictably eating Belgian waffles and chocolate!
Highlights of the trip so far:
An incredible FREE walking tour of Berlin. Rachel and I are discovering how ignorant we are of European history - the story of the Berlin Wall and how it fell brought me to tears. This happened in my lifetime, and yet I only had the vaguest of ideas about it before this visit. The story is too long for me to type here but…find it! You will appreciate the way God uses the foolish things of the world.
Visiting the Pergamon Altar (Rev. 2:17) and seeing a massive frieze from the reign of Nebuchadnezzar decorated with…lions, of course!
Meeting people from literally all over the world…Spain, France, Cameroon, Turkey, India, Thailand…basically every country imaginable.
As with all of life there is good and bad…we will spare you the story of the bike I broke, the rainy, freezing days, the robbery we witnessed, the 3 hours it took is to find our hotel…you get the picture…but we are loving our travels.
If you have any tips or know of churches in Madrid, let us know!
