How often do you get to stay in a Castle and swim in a lake and hike through a forest and do it all in the company of amazing missionaries? We are definitely feeling spoiled by our week at the Missions Conference in Austria. It has been sweet to spend time with old friends and meet new ones; to hear stories of God’s faithfulness and calling in the lives of our friends on the mission field, and to see many of our former students from CCHS who are serving in the Summer of Service in Austria.
Above all, one of our favorite parts of this week is the incredible Bible teaching from Bil Gallatin, Damian Kyle, Nancy Sylvester, Pam Markey, and many others. There is a preciousness with which they hold the Word of God, and it is impossible to not be touched by the love and care that they have for the Scriptures and the relationship that they have with Jesus.
One of the key themes of the week has been the grace of God - the reminder that we shouldn’t simply be women who speak of His grace, but that we should be the ones who live in it.
Rachel is especially enjoying the women’s group with a diverse group of missionaries from around the world, and Sarah has been enjoying morning hikes with a crew of little missionary children. Today is Sarah’s birthday, and short of being with family and friends, there is no better way to spend a birthday than in the company of missionaries, worshipping the Lord, in a beautiful castle!
